The role of the serving platter in food presentation
One of the roles of a good serving platter is to enhance the visual look of the dish. Platters are simple items of tableware that enable culinary creations to be arranged and showcased in an appealing way on both everyday and festive occasions. They are ideal for displaying and serving an array of tasty delights, from nibbles and finger foods to main courses. Designed with attractive presentation in mind, they come in a range of materials and sizes for serving everything from small bites to large joints of meat. And for bringing sizzling hot food to the table, it is important to choose a platter that is resistant to heat. Ultimately, a carefully-chosen serving platter allows for simple arrangement and presentation of the food, making it easier to serve and accentuating its shape and colours, and thus making the occasion even more inviting.

Our range has plates and dishes for all occasions. We have hand-picked collections that are the best quality and will last for generations.

Present your culinary creations with style on Newport’s serving dishes. Perfect for family meals, festive occasions or a special candlelit dinner for two.
