The bouquet of fresh and lush roses evokes Marie Antoinette’s love of the flower. A hint of Tuscan black pepper at the heart of the rose delivers subtle, unexpected harmony. The special edition Rose Poivrée, candle was created by Trudon in partnership with designer Giambattista Valli to celebrate the 2010 opening of his first store on rue Boissy d’Anglas in Paris. The candle has a total burn time of 55-60 hours.

Trudon is the oldest candle manufacturer in the world. In 1643, Claude Trudon became the owner of a store on Rue Saint-Honoré where he developed his business as a candle manufacturer. His candles was bought by both parishes as well as private households. Hence, in the beginning of Louis XIV's reign, Claude Trudon created a company that would lay the base for his family's fortune.
