Bath Mat Teak

Teak contains large amounts of natural oils meaning the material is very durable and can withstand moisture and humidity, making it suitable for bathrooms. With time the wood will develop a beautiful grey patina. Pay attention to the fact that there is a risk that the floor (linoleum, tiles, floors with a porous surface etc) can absorb colour pigments from the natural oil in the teak. The leaking oil will stop over time and it is therefor important to follow the care instructions carefully.

If the mat will be placed on a floor that can absorb oil from the teak, we recommend that the mat is washed 2-3 times with a mild mixture of water and soap/washing up liquid before usage. We don't recommend that the mat should lie wet after it's been used. Instead, place the mat standing on its side and let it dry on a non-porous surface. Wipe the floor where the mat was laying. The product is made from certified teak from plantations in Indonesia.
